WINTER 2022 ELECTRICITY RATES

Winter electricity rates begin on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 and will be in place until April 30, 2023. Beginning November 1, 2022 the Ontario government's Ontario Electricity Rebate is now 11.7%.

Customers paying Time-of-Use prices can now choose to switch to Tiered Prices. Customer Choice

TIERED PRICING

Breakdown of Winter Tiered Pricing. For Residential, the first 1,000 KwH is 8.7 cents and above 1,000 kwh, it is 10.3 cents. For Small Business, the first 750 kwh, it is 8.7 cents and above 750 kwh, it is 10.3 cents.

TIME OF USE INFORMATION

2023 Holiday Schedule for Smart Meters - Customers will be charged the Off-Peak electricity price during all recognized holidays. 

The electricity rates charged to residential customers of Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc are set by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB). In general, the rates set by the OEB recover two types of costs - the cost of generating the electricity and the cost of delivery the electricity to your residence.
